    Perfect hotel, remote location very close to Madgoan railway station, especially helpful staff, great bar area. Large and varied breakfast with delicious salads in the restaurant: )

    More pros than cons, but still.

    The private beach is pristine, and the dedicated staff ensured our kids felt right at home, making it a nice family retreat.

    The rooms appeared outdated, and we experienced noise disturbances , which detracted from overall comfort.

    By and large, it was incredible base for sightseeing in Varca, had much fun and met very dedicated and caring staff in services. This was my 2nd stay, they offered villa with a view. An electric kettle and glassware were provided. Stayed here for 5 nights and didn't feel like leaving.

    a great pool, ayurveda massage treatment, a quiet beach ... and friendly staff. I also liked the yoga lesson every morning ... these all made our stay very nice.

    The hotel facilities are a bit run down to claim as 5 star ... we paid more to stay at a delux room - it was far shorter than the description we saw (no DVD player, no sofa, ... we had to ask for bathrobe and slippers) and was not very spacious, though clean. Standard rooms we saw looked very shaggy and I would not have enjoyed. When we booked it was supposed to be no charge for cancellation till a week before arrival, but the hotel immediately charged the whole ammount to my credit card. Booking Com kindly communicated and negotiated to return the amount, which never happened. I have to reschedule my credit card payment schemes, as it was charged a lot earlier than expected!

    The landscaped gardens were a peaceful escape, and the staff were attentive, reminiscing about the delicious omelettes made by Anisha each morning. Our family stay felt cared for.

    The young staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Apparently most Indian customers do not tip. So a small tip went a long way. The pool area is very nicely laid out with a separate swimming pool for children. The beach, only 300 m away, is one of the finest we have experienced on our frequent trips. There is fine white sand for more than 20 km both ways from the hotel. Ayurveda treatments within the hotel were well done by professional masseurs.

    The gym is too small for a 5 star hotel. There is only a tiny 'wall kiosk' as the only place to buy souvenirs. The postcards on offer must be some of the worst quality in Goa. We were there during off season. All small tables which normally are placed between lounge chairs have been removed for cleaning. So drinking and eating under the umbrella was uncomfortable. A few tables should still be available even during off season.

    - room service is good (except minibars) - good and beautiful pool - big and beautiful territory

    - old equipment and bad repairs of standart rooms - any clever designer made between a bedroom and a toilet a trellised wooden wall in deluxe rooms, so all wake up, when someone visits a toilet at night - too expensive food and drinks in the hotel territory - barmen cook bad cocktails - very small shop in hotel

    The beach location and overall hotel appearance with the hotel being well maintained

    I expected a better gym from a 5* resort and the staff were slow to bring out some of the food items ordered at the restaurant
